Read What Our Guests Have To Say
My wife and I just returned from two days of fishing with Alaska Adventures Unlimited in beautiful Sitka Alaska. Our skipper Steve was just the best. He made sure he knew what was important to us and then he prioritized our day around that. We were able to do just the right amount of salmon fishing, bottom fishing and just a little wildlife sightseeing to make it the most awesome and memorable experience ever! Three of us caught 6 nice halibut, 6 nice king salmon, a mess of rock fish, a couple of yellow eye and some ling cod. We capped off the two days with a 34 pound King! The weather in Sitka was perfect and we just don’t think there is a more beautiful place on earth. We saw sea lions, puffins and the bald eagles were swooping down and grabbing fish right out of the water! As a charter experience, every need was taken care of. They arranged for our room, made sure we had hot coffee in the morning and lunch, there was bottled water, pop and snacks and we brought our own beers. At days end our fish was whisked away and when it was time to fly home we were presented with two boxes of beautifully vacuum packed and frozen fish ready to check into the airlines. It could not have been easier. Thanks so much to Captain Steve and Samantha the operations manager for this very special experience. We definitely give two enthusiastic thumbs up for Alaska Adventures Unlimited in Sitka!
This was our second summer with AK Adventures Unlimited and working with Samantha and Steve. We have a great time. Captain Steve is so passionate about what he does (not to mention a great guy) and wants to make sure you catch fish. This year we spoke with other people that had gone fishing in Sitka the same time we were there. They told us, that the fishing was not like last year (2014). Not the case for us! Captain Steve was going to all the spots he knew that would generate us catching fish and we were not disappointed. This summer was just as good as 2014 (2014 was one of the better years for fishing statistically in Alaska). We had a great time, not to mention I caught the biggest King Salmon I have ever caught. Samantha is very accommodating and makes sure that everything is in order. All you have to do is be ready to fish. I hope you have as much fun as we did.
I can’t thank Steve enough for the wonderful fishing trip in July 2015. The 37 pound King was of course the highlight, but the companionship with him and the others on board made the day even more special. And, the great weather you ordered up made the trip a most memorable one. Friends, family, and co-workers are drooling over the pictures. Looking forward to wetting a line with another day. Until then, be safe and happy and my best to Sam.
My friends and I have fished with Steve in Sitka for the past two years. Besides being a great guy, Steve is an excellent fisherman and guide. The boat and equipment are top flight. Steve knows the area and can locate the fish. Both in 2014 and again this year, my friends and I had plenty of halibut, salmon, cod, and rockfish to enjoy and share with our families!
